America’s Cup Bermuda Holding Photo Contest

America’s Cup Bermuda is running a photo contest to celebrate the two years since Bermuda was announced as host to the 35th America’s Cup. Three lucky contestants will win tickets to opening weekend activities of the America’s Cup – starting May 26, 2017.

“Bermuda residents are encouraged to share their precious moments through snapshots and selfies, in this photo contest. Entries will be your favourite America’s Cup photos that you’ve snapped in the last two years and that reflect why you’re proud to be in Bermuda,” the ACBDA said.

“Select from your photos of your child sailing with AC Endeavour or selfies with your mates partying at Foil Fest! Maybe you’re neighbours with some of the America’s Cup crews. Entries should only be photos that include people and should be your best AC35 pics. One entry per person but contestants can submit multiple photos in the one entry.

“To enter the contest, email your photos to comms@acbda.bm by December 10 at 5pm. The top photos will be selected by a panel of judges and posted to Facebook on Monday, December 12. The public will have until December 15 at 12 midnight to like their favourite photos.”

The three photos with the most likes will win the following:

• First place winner: weekend pass tickets for 2
• Second and third place: 2 x double passes to a day of choice for the opening weekend

Mikaela Pearman, Marketing & Communications Executive, ACBDA, says: “In the past two years, there have been so many exciting America’s Cup moments in Bermuda.

“This is a fun opportunity to dig in your phone or search your computer to see what awesome shots you can find. We encourage all of Bermuda to submit their favourite photos that capture these incredible moments for a chance to win tickets to opening weekend.”

The rules:

• 1] Contest open to all Bermuda residents.
• 2] Multiple photos per entry are acceptable. One entry per person.
• 3] Contest open to participants aged 16 and over [photos can include children].
• 4] Employees of ACBDA and ACEA are not eligible to enter this contest.
• 5] Winners must be able to collect their prize in person.
• 6] By entering this contest all entrants agree to the unlimited use and editing of all images submitted, for promotional purposes by ACBDA and/or ACEA without further correspondence.
• 7] All photos must be original and have the owner’s permission to submit.
