Friends of Hospice have organised a new event for the community called ‘Memorial Moon Walk,’ promising to be “a tranquil walk under a full bright moon.”

The event will take place at night during the full moon on Friday, January 13, starting at 6.30pm at Chaplin Bay in Warwick. Registration begins at 6.30pm, with a $5 fee for each walker, and the walk itself beginning at 7:00pm

A spokesperson said, “Walkers are reminded to bring their own flashlights for the walk. Candles will be available to purchase to light at Chaplin Bay at the end of the walk and there will be a moment to reflect and remember loved ones who have passed away.

“Registration is $5 at Chaplin Bay. All proceeds from the event will be used to provide programmes and services that enhance the quality for hospice patients and their family.”
