Court: American Citizen Granted $100,000 Bail
Appearing in Magistrates Court today [Feb 28], a 52-year-old American citizen was granted bail in the amount of $100,000.
Ms Melissa Burton, of Sag Harbor, NY, was yesterday charged with stealing over $55,000 from a senior citizen and abusing a senior via financial exploitation.
She did not have to enter a plea as the matter will be heard in the Supreme Court.
She re-appeared in this morning’s Plea Court and the matter of her final bail was resolved, with Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo setting bail at $100,000 and requiring a surety in a like amount.
