This year’s Ag Show is set to take place at the Botanical Gardens on Thursday April 20th, Friday April 21st and Saturday April 22nd; with advance tickets for the event to go on sale this week.
“The Executive of the Ag Show Bermuda Ltd have been very busy since the end of last year’s very successful Ag Show planning for this year’s show. The dates for this year’s Ag Show are Thursday April 20th , Friday April 21st and Saturday April 22nd,” Jeff Sousa said.
“The catalogue for the 2017 Ag Show is now on our website we also encourage all of Bermuda to visit our Facebook page and Instagram page @theagshowbda.
“We certainly would like to thank this year’s sponsors to date as without them Bermuda’s largest community event which has gone on for over three quarters of a century would not be the success that it is and all of Bermuda owe them a great gratitude.
“This year’s sponsors so far are Axis, Argus, Aspen Re, Bacardi, Bank of Bermuda Foundation, BF&M, BELCO, BGA, Butterfield and Vallis, Chubb Insurance, Dunkley’s, Ernst and Young, Harney’s, The Green Family, Gorham’s, Lindo’s, Richold Construction, Supermarket, and XL Foundation.
“The Ag Show is a Public/Private partnership with the Bermuda Government and in order for us to continue to be successful we depend on donations from the community. We would also encourage residents that would like to get involved to sign up. For more information or to make a donation please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
“This year we will be introducing back the Tug of War, and will of course have the three day Horse Show in the main ring, Poultry Show, Bermuda’s best Roses and Orchids will be on display, woodcrafts and yummy cupcakes.
“As in the past we will have on display the ever popular pigs. In the lower area we will have some of Bermuda’s best entertainment on display and of course throughout the grounds there will be everything from fresh local fish to Malasadas [Portuguese Doughnuts] so come out and have a great time with the entire family at Bermuda’s number one community event!.”
Mr Sousa added that advance tickets for the 2017 Ag Show go on sale at ptix.bm starting this week.
