Free Lecture On ‘Making The Right Decisions’

April 4, 2017

Does prayer make a difference? Every day, we’re faced with making decisions. Some are easy decisions, but others can cause long sleepless nights. Is there a way to know the right choice? If so, what is that?

International speaker Leide Lessa says, “It’s been my experience that turning in prayer to God as the one divine Mind can lead to beneficial decisions. How? Thinking of God in this way moves us beyond looking at limited options, connects us to divine intelligence, and opens the way for us to see inspired solutions. I give a one-hour talk discussing how each one of us can do this – and find peace of mind in making the choices before us.”

Lessa, a practitioner and teacher of Christian Science healing will present her free public lecture titled, “Making the right decisions” at Charities House Boardroom, 25 Point Finger Road, Paget, on Thursday, April 6th at 7:30pm.

She explores the concepts of God as the all-knowing and all-loving Mind, who is supreme; everyone can know God’s guidance by developing one’s spiritual sense, the natural capacity to understand God; and that following this guidance is exercising one’s peaceful, God-given dominion.

“These are new ways, spiritual ways, to look at making right decisions. And I’ll offer examples of how I have used these three aspects effectively in my healing practice,” she said.

Lessa’s presentation is based on the teachings of Christ Jesus in the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, the discoverer and founder of Christian Science.

Lessa studied languages in Vienna, Austria; Stony Brook, New York, USA; and São Paulo, Brazil before opening her own language institute in São Paulo, where she and her staff taught Spanish, Portuguese, English and German. After 10 years, she sold the institute to take up the full time public ministry as a Christian Science practitioner.

She moved to Boston in 1998 and worked in the Christian Science Publishing Society on their multi-language publications. Currently, Lessa lives in Quincy, Massachusetts, USA, and conducts in-depth classes on Christian Science healing in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She is available to lecture in English, Portuguese, German, and Spanish as a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship.
