Video: Sunday April 2nd ‘Good News’ Spotlight

News that Lisa Blackburn broke the Masters World Record in the 100 freestyle, the P.A.L.S. ‘Walk with Me for Cancer Care’ event raised over $35,000, Bermuda’s tennis team defeated Jamaica and Puerto Rico, and Shirley Hunt celebrated 60 years at the Elbow Beach Resort were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.

In additional good news, Teachers Rugby Football Club donated $3,000 to The Reading Clinic, Urban Cottage partnered with Juliana Gibbons, Delray Rawlins signed a contract extension with Sussex, Reggie Lambe scored in a Carlisle victory, and Jonathan White was called to the Bermuda Bar.

Other good news stories included the Pie Factory celebrating their official grand opening at their Parliament Street location, the Sea Cadet dinghy ‘Philippa’ being completely refurbished, BF&M launching the ‘No Limits’ sailing program for children with autism, and Shaquille Dill and Tiara Derosa winning invitational events in the United States.
