Two Visitors Injured In Rental Cycle Collision

A 58-year-old man and a 56-year-old woman were taken to hospital via ambulance for treatment following a collision on Harrington Sound Road in Hamilton parish yesterday [May 18] and are now recovering in stable condition on a general ward.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 1pm Thursday, May 18th police and first responders were dispatched to a reported single vehicle rental cycle crash on Harrington Sound Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with Quarry Road.

“It appears that the rider and pillion passenger of the two wheeled rental auxiliary cycle, believed to be a 58 year old man and a 56 year old woman, struck a wooden railing in the vicinity of Shark Hole Hill.

“Both American visitors were injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.

“At last check this morning [May 19th] the couple, said to be from New York, were recovering in stable condition on a general ward.
