71-Year-Old Passenger Disembarks In Bermuda

The cruise ship Ocean Dream returned to Bermuda to disembark a 71-year-old passenger on Sunday [June 18].

A Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre spokesperson said, “The recently departed cruise ship Ocean Dream, on passage from Bermuda to La Guaira, Venezuela, contacted the Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre to report that vessel was returning to Bermuda to urgently disembark a 71-year-old passenger, arriving off the east end at 6:45pm.

“Arrangements were put in place for disembarkation of patient by Pilot Cutter St. David to rendezvous with an ambulance at Ordnance Island. By 7:13pm the patient was safely transferred ashore and taken by ambulance to Kind Edward VII Memorial Hospital.”
