Car Driver Injured In Harbour Road Collision

[Updated] Morning commuters are being advised of expected delays along Harbour Road in Paget due to a single vehicle accident that occurred this morning [June 27].

A police spokesperson said, “Morning commuters are advised to expect delays along Harbour Road in Paget due to a single car crash that occurred around 6:55am this morning in the area of Lower Ferry, which has reduced traffic flow to one lane.

“Details are limited at this time. However, initial information suggests that the female driver was not seriously injured.

“Motorists should consider alternate routes, if possible, until the damaged vehicle is removed from the scene. An update will be provided when traffic flow returns to normal in that area.”

Update 10:15am: A police spokesperson said, “Normal traffic flow has since resumed in the Lower Ferry, Harbour Road Paget area. The scene was cleared approximately two hours later and the Bermuda Police Service thanks the motoring public for their patience.”

Update 11:59am: A police spokesperson said, “Around 6:55am Tuesday, June 27th police and first responders were dispatched to a reported single vehicle car crash on Harbour Road in Paget near Lower Ferry.

“The driver, believed to be a 56 year old Southampton woman, was injured when the vehicle struck a wall.

“She was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of apparently non-life threatening injuries.

“The scene was cleared approximately two hours later and the Bermuda Police Service thanks the motoring public for their patience.”
