Cricket: All Star East vs West Teams Named
The Bermuda Cricket Board [BCB] announced the players selected for the Hiscox 11&U and the Bank of Bermuda Foundation 14&U East v West All Star Games taking place this Saturday 10 June at the National Sports Centre, North Field. The Hiscox U11s start at 9.00am and the Bank of Bermuda U14s start at 12.30pm.
President of the BCB Mr. Lloyd Fray stated, “I would like the congratulate the players selected to take part in the All Star games this year. The All Star games showcase some of Bermuda’s best young players.
“I would like to thank all the parents and coaches who have volunteered their time ensuring the success of both leagues and the BUCA Umpire’s who are volunteering their services during the day. I would also like to thank Barritts for once again providing the water and Powerade for all our youth cricket events this season.”
Mr. Fray continued, “The Hiscox Skills and Drills Tournament and the Celebrity Cricket Festival is on Saturday 15 July and we are looking forward to seeing how the young players have developed this year. Hiscox continues to be a major supporter of youth cricket and we truly appreciate their support of Bermuda’s young players and our great sport.”
Mr. Fray concluded, “The Bank of Bermuda Foundation 14&Under League has also been a success this year with competitive games taking place each weekend. I would like to thank the Bank of Bermuda Foundation who continue to support this League.
“This league features an important age-group, providing the opportunity for Bermuda’s youngsters to enjoy cricket in a disciplined environment contributing to their personal development.”
