Police Confirm Death Of Thomas Power
The police have confirmed the death of 81-year-old American visitor Thomas Power.
A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 81-year-old Thomas Power and extends sincere condolences to his family and friends.
“Mr. Power, said to be from Virginia, got into difficulty while swimming near the beach at Pompano Beach Club in Southampton around 11:40am Tuesday, June 13th.
“The American visitor was assisted to shore and CPR was performed.
“He was then rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance, where he was later pronounced dead.
“Foul play is not suspected and a Family Liaison Officer has been assigned to provide support to the deceased’s family at this time.”
