Cleveland County, St. David’s Cricket Club, Bailey’s Bay and Willow Cuts all recorded victories in this weekend’s Premier and First Division cricket action.

Premier Division

Cleveland County Win by 17 Runs: Cleveland County 157 Southampton Rangers 140

Cleveland County won the toss at the Wellington Oval and decided to bat, they were bowled out for 157, Temiko Wilson was the top scorer with 75, while Vernon Eve returned figures of 9-1-38-3.

In reply the Southampton Rangers were bowled out for 140, Janeiro Tucker was the top scorer with 46, with Dennis Musson leading the Cleveland County bowling attack with figures of 9-3-17-5.

St. David’s Cricket Club Win by 5 Wickets: Western Stars 175/9 St. David’s Cricket Club 178/5

Western Stars won the toss and elected to bat, they were restricted to 175/9 in their allotted 50 overs, with Brian Hall the top scorer with 66 and Tre Manders added 63, Dion Stovell was the pick of the St. David’s Cricket Club bowlers with figure of 10-3-14-6.

In reply Stovell capped off a good day with a knock of 70, with assistance from Shannon Raynor who added 47 as they scored 178/5 to win by 5 wickets. Rohann davis was the pick of the Western Stars bowlers with figures of 10-1-35-3.

Bailey’s Bay Win by 199 Runs: Bailey’s Bay 332/6 Somerset Cricket Club 133

Somerset Cricket Club won the toss at home and sent Bailey’s Bay to bat, Bailey’s Bay scored 332/6, with Malachi Jones the top scorer with 184 off 142 deliveries, he hit 19 fours and 10 sixes in his inning, Rodney Trott added 58, Micah Simons was the pick of the Somerset Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 10-0-60-2.

In reply the Somerset Cricket Club were bowled out for 133, with opener Greg Maybury the top scorer with 35, Jones then turned the goods with the ball returning figures of 10-3-19-3.

First Division

Willow Cuts Win by 5 Wickets: Warwick Workmen’s Club 141 Willow Cuts 142/5

At the Southampton Oval, Willow Cuts won the toss and elected to field, Warwick were bowled out for 141, with Kyle Swan their top scorer with 30, Shaquille Outerbridge was the pick of the Willow Cuts bowlers returning figures of 2-0-4-3.

In reply Willow Cuts scored 142/5, Chokate Wainwright was the top scorer with 45, while Stefan Dill led the Warwick Workmen’s bowling attack with figures of 10-0-37-3.
