Bell & Tavares Win Cricket Players Of Week
The Bermuda Cricket Board [BCB] announced that the Premier League Player of the Week is Damali Bell of Cleveland, while the First Division Player of the Week is Sharye Tavares of Somerset Bridge.
A BCB spokesperson said, “One Communications and the BCB are pleased to announce that the One Communications Premier Division ‘Player of the Week’ is Damali Bell of Cleveland. In the match against Western Stars Damali removed 3 top order batsmen in his spell of 3 wickets for 20 runs in 10 overs. This performance allowed Cleveland to restrict Western Stars to 132 and complete a 4 wicket victory.
“The One Communications First Division ‘Player of the Week’ [for week 13] is Sharye Tavares of Somerset Bridge. In the game against PHC Sharye anchored his team’s innings scoring 54 runs including 6 4’s. This allowed Somerset Bridge to post a competitive total of 176 runs and secure a 46 run victory.
