Hamilton Re Appoint Duffin, Steinhoff, Lefebvre
Hamilton Re, the Bermuda-based operations of Hamilton Insurance Group, today [Sept 5] announced leadership changes in its underwriting function designed to support its development as a new kind of Tier 1 company.
Aligning talent in her underwriting team with market opportunities, Hamilton Re CEO Kathleen Reardon has made the following changes:
Tim Duffin, Chief Underwriting Officer, Property, has been promoted to the newly-created position of Chief Underwriting Officer, Reinsurance.

In his new role, Mr. Duffin will oversee the strategic growth and development of Hamilton Re’s reinsurance portfolio. He also assumes management oversight for the organization’s Property, Casualty and Specialty reinsurance lines of business.
The responsibility to develop and sustain Hamilton Re’s strategic partnerships has been assigned to Claude Lefebvre. In his new role as Chief Underwriting Officer, Partnerships & Casualty Reinsurance, Mr. Lefebvre will oversee the development and management of Hamilton Re’s relationships with AIG and Attune, the technology-enabled platform established by Hamilton, AIG and Two Sigma.
Susan Steinhoff, Senior Vice President, Property, has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Head of Property Reinsurance. Ms. Steinhoff now leads Hamilton Re’s Property reinsurance underwriting team.
