Man Taken To KEMH After Falling Off Scaffolding

A man was transported to King Edward Memorial Hospital this afternoon [Sept 1] after an industrial accident in Sandys, with the man injured after falling off scaffolding.

The Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service said, “At approximately 2:49pm today, Friday, September 1, 2017, the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service responded to a report of an industrial accident near the junction of Sound View Road and Valley Road in Sandys.

Fire Service spokesperson Sergeant Russann Francis stated, “It was reported that a man was injured by falling off scaffolding.

“The Fire Service responded to the incident with one vehicle and four emergency medical technicians who quickly assessed the patient who was found to have facial and lower extremity injuries.”

“The injured person was transported to King Edward Memorial Hospital via ambulance for further treatment.”
