‘Learn Differently School Fair’ On October 26
A group of specialized Learning Disability Boarding Schools from the United States will be hosting the ‘Learn Differently School Fair’ on Thursday [Oct 26] from 5.00pm to 8.00pm at Hamilton Princess.
A spokesperson said, “The purpose of Disabilities Awareness Month is to increase the understanding of learning disabilities and provide options and resources to help our children reach their full potential.
“A group of specialized Learning Disability Boarding Schools from the United States will be hosting the 2017 Learn Differently School Fair as an annual event for the Annual Awareness Month [October].
“Representatives from some of the leading schools who offer both academic year and summer programs for students diagnosed with learning disabilities will be on hand to discuss their programs in depth.
“No two children are alike just like no two schools are alike. At the Learn Differently School Fair there will be schools which are tailored to help students unlock their full potential.
“If your child has been diagnosed with a learning difference [LD] and is academically frustrated, there is an answer. Parents with children with learning disabilites, caregivers, and people who would like to learn more about resources for the children with LD’s are invited to come.
“This event is free and open to the public on Thursday, October 26, 2017, from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Hamilton Princess Hotel & Beach Club’s Trudeau Ballroom.
“The fair will showcase the services available to students who learn differently. This is a great opportunity to learn about and connect with specialized schools and resources.
“Participants will include The Gow School, Eagle Hill School, The Landmark School, Maplebrook School and The Vanguard School.
“Refreshments will be served.
