October 9, 2017

The Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service [BFRS] annual Fire Safety Awareness Week kicked off earlier today [Oct 9], with this year’s activities focusing on the theme of “Every Second Counts, Plan Two Ways Out”.

The Minister of National Security Wayne Caines supported the BF&RS’s awareness efforts today by participating in a fire safety demonstration, as well as reading the annual Proclamation to school students and attendees.

The 45-minute live video replay is below:

“The BFRS welcomes the public’s participation in this year’s activities, and will be holding open houses at the Hamilton, Port Royal and Clearwater Fire Stations to share the importance of safety. The BF&RS will also be sharing their fire safety message to the Island’s various schools,” a spokesperson said.
