Warwick Dominates At Swim Championships

Warwick Academy made a huge splash at the BSSF Senior and Middle School Swimming Championships at the National Sports Center.

Warwick left everyone in the wake in winning every Division, they were crowned overall Senior School Champions with 353 points. Saltus Grammar School were second with 259 points. Warwick won the Boys Division with 195 points with Saltus finishing on 134. Warwick won the Girls Division with 158 followed by Saltus with 125 and Bermuda High School with 70 points.

Warwick won every race in the Under 16 Division, Logan Brown won the Butterfly and 100 meter Individual Medley race, while Gabby Pitman claimed first in the Freestyle and Backstroke, Skyler Powell won the Breastroke.

In the Boys Division, Brian Desmond won the Butterfly and Backstroke double, with Keegan Woolley doubling up on the Individual Medley and Breastroke. Caleb Ingham won the Freestyle.

Ashley Irby from Saltus denied Warwick of a clean sweep after winning the Over 16 Girls Butterfly and Freestyle with ease. Warwick were back to winning ways with the Over 16 Boys as Jesse Washington claiming first in the Butterfly and Individual Medley while Jude Mosley won the Backstroke and Freestyle.

Warwick easily won the Overall Middle School title as well with 305 points. Saltus finished second with 191 and Somersfield Academy finished third with 128.

Warwick won the Boys Division with 175 followed by Saltus with 122 and Somersfield Academy with 40.

The Girls Division was much tighter with Warwick Academy edging past Bermuda High School by two points. Warwick finished on 130 points, with BHS second on 128 and Somersfield Academy third with 87

Lyndsay Scherer from Warwick was the only double winner in the Under 13 Girls Division after winning the Butterfly and the Individual Medley.

In the Under 13 Boys Division Harlon Watson Brown won the Butterfly and Freestyle double, while Flynn Watson Brown won the Individual Medley and Backstroke.

Taylor White from Warwick impressed in winning the Butterfly and Individual Medley. Mia Ferguson from BHS won the Breaststroke and Freestyle.

In the Over 13 Boys Division Warwick had two double winners. Sam Williamson cruised to victory in the Butterfly and Individual Medley while Finn Moseley won the Freestyle and Backstroke.
