54-Year-Old Airlifted Overseas For Treatment

The 54-year-old man injured in a collision on Tuesday evening in Warwick has been airlifted overseas for further medical treatment.

A police spokesperson said, “At last check earlier this morning [November 30th] the 54 year old Warwick man seriously hurt in a two motorcycle collision at the junction of Middle Road and Ord Road, Warwick around 8:30pm Tuesday, November 28th had been airlifted overseas for further medical treatment – after initially being admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital [KEMH].

“The other rider involved, a 25 year old Warwick man, was treated at KEMH for his injuries and discharged.

“Both motorcycles were impounded pending further enquiries.

“The appeal for witnesses continues. Anyone that can assist is asked to contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
