November 1, 2017

Midlands Heights Church will be hosting an event titled “Moving Forward with Grief” on November 4 and November 5, aiming to assist the community by providing a grief support fair.

A spokesperson said, “The Midlands Heights Church will be hosting activities to provide support for your grief journey. This is a community event to assist the community by providing a grief support fair. The fair will be held at Francis Patton School.

“Information on grief, healthy eating tips, free massages and much more will be provided. The fair will be followed by a grief walk along the railway trail to the new bridge. There is a full schedule of activities for the day.

“Our grief response ministry team’s mission is to offer spiritual emotional and other support while you are grieving your loss. We provide ongoing support as needed and referrals as needed.

“Grief is not just death, but there are also non-death losses that people grieve, including loss of a job, loss of a limb, loss of eyesight, divorce etc.”

The event will begin at 11am on November 4 with a divine worship service, followed by a candle lighting memorial service at 5.00pm. On November 5, the day will see a grief support fair from 2.00pm to 6.00pm, including a grief walk at 4.00pm.
