The funds collected in these kettles all go towards the Salvation Army’s Christmas programming which includes a Christmas hamper program for seniors and families, a toy drive for children and providing hot meals for the homeless and seniors throughout the month of December, among many other things.

Noting that Christmas isn’t always a joyful time for everyone, Sen. Hayward described the Salvation Army’s Christmas Kettle Campaign as a “lifesaver for many.”

“The Salvation Army are collecting money for the people on our island who need it most,” Senator Hayward said. “I would urge the residents of Bermuda – from all sectors of the community – to support this year’s Christmas Kettle Campaign in any way that they can.”
