Carlisle United manager Keith Curle has praised the excellent form of Bermudian footballer Reggie Lambe, according to a report in the News & Star.

The story said, “The Blues manager has been impressed with the displays of Lambe in an attacking midfield role in recent weeks. And he says the form of the 26-year-old offers an answer to those supporters who feel Devitt should have been given more opportunities recently.

“I think he [Lambe] is doing very well,” Curle said. “People are saying, ‘Why is Jamie Devitt not in the team?’

“I don’t mean it as a flippant response but my answer is probably, ‘Because Reggie Lambe is playing well’.”

Lambe impressed in an advanced role behind lone striker Richie Bennett in United’s FA Cup draw at Gillingham last weekend, the report added, saying that the six-goal player looks set to continue in the side when Carlisle return to league action at Newport this Saturday.
