Football: First & Premier Division Results

Devonshire Colts, BAA, Southampton Rangers, Paget Lions, Devonshire Cougars, Dandy Town Hornets, and North Village Rams all walked away with wins in this weekend’s Premier Division and First Division football action.

First: Wolves 0 Devonshire Colts 3 – Match Abandoned

At the Devonshire Rec, the Devonshire Colts held a 3 – 0 lead when the referee called a halt to the game due to issues with some of the players. The Devonshire Colts got 2 goals from Teniko Eve and a single strike from Cameron Coffey.

First: Hamilton Parish 1 BAA 7

At the Wellington Oval, BAA defeated Hamilton Parish 7 – 1. Morricko Iris scored a hat-trick for BAA, who also got single strikes from Tyrell Burgess, Quintonio Lema, Antonio Carvelho and LaQuan Thomas scored a goal each. The lone Hamilton Parish goal came from John Hunt-Tucker.

First: St. David’s 0 Southampton Rangers 5

At Lord’s in St. David’s the home team went down 5 – 0 to the Southampton Rangers. Donte Brangman led them to victory with a hat-trick, while Ezekiel Stoneham and Marquel Tankard added a goal each.

First: Paget Lions 2 Somerset Eagles 0

At the Southampton Oval, the Paget Lions got 2 goals from Dion Stovell as they defeated the Somerset Eagles 2 – 0.

Premier: Devonshire Cougars 3 Young Men Social Club 1

At the Devonshire rec, Young Men Social Club stunned the crowd when Clay Darrell scored in the 3rd minute for them to take the lead, but Calin Maybury would equalize with a free kick from some 25 yards out twenty minutes later. Lovintz Tota would give the Devonshire Cougars the lead in the 51st minute and Jomeko Mallory would close out the scoring with a goal in the 82nd minute.

Premier: Boulevard Blazers 2 Somerset Trojans 2

The Boulevard Blazers let a 2 – 0 lead slip as they drew 2 – 2 with the Somerset Trojans at Lord’s in St. David’s. Kamali Davis gave the Boulevard Blazers the lead in the 27th minute and he would double the lead with a strike in the 37th minute, but Justin Corday would pull a goal back for the Somerset Trojans when scored in the 45th minute from the penalty spot, Corday would equalize with his second goal of the game in the 60th minute.

Premier: Dandy Town Hornets 3 PHC Zebras 0

At the St. John’s Field, League Leaders PHC Zebras suffered their first defeat of the season going down 3 – 0 to the Dandy Town Hornets. The Dandy Town hornets took the lead in the 19th minute when Ian Coke scored from the penalty spot, N Spence doubled the lead with a goal in the 57th minute and Angelo Simmons scored in the 90th minute.

Premier: North Village Rams 2 Flanagan’s Onions 0

At the Bernard Park, the North Village Rams defeated the Flanagan’s Onions 2 – 0, the home team got goals from Lashun Dill and Marcelos Thomas.
