Two Men Injured In Altercation At Bus Terminal

The police are responding to some form of an incident this morning [Jan 29] in the area of the Hamilton Bus Terminal, with multiple police vehicles and officers on scene.

Crime scene tape is visible in addition to an ambulance. Further details are limited at this time, however we will update as able.

Update 1.17pm: Police confirm there was an “altercation” involving two men, one “brandished a rock and the other male brandished a bladed article,” and both were taken to hospital with “injuries that at this juncture appear to be life threatening.”

Police Media Manager Dwayne Caines said, “Police responded to a report of an altercation that took place at the Bus Terminal in the City of Hamilton at approximately 11:30am today [Monday].

“It appears that two men were in an altercation and one of the men brandished a rock and the other male brandished a bladed article.

“Both men as result of incident were taken to the hospital with one man being treated for head injuries, and the other being treated neck and head injuries that at this juncture appear to be life threatening.

“Police are appealing for witnesses to contact CID on 2950011,” Mr Caines added.

    Buses ran quite smoothly… I was there after the fact. Area cornered off with police forensics doing their job.

    What needs to be done with criminals like this, is to catch them and implant them with life-long tracking chips. Just like how SPCA tracks dogs. This should deter criminals from crime, when faced with this scenario. And that way, the public and police will know where these people are all the time, instead of having to worry and wonder where they might pop up and assault or rob someone.

      I bet you think GPS satellites “track” you as well.
