Three Arrested In Connection With Disturbance

January 26, 2018

Three men — aged 19 and 20 — have been arrested following a “disturbance” last night in Warwick, with a “quantity of suspected controlled drug” also being seized.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 9:10pm Thursday, January 25th police officers responded to a reported disturbance in the Scott’s Lane South, Warwick area off Khyber Heights Road.

“It appears that the disturbance took place outside an area residence. Apparently the individuals involved immediately fled on foot towards Astwood Park.

“Police officers pursued the suspects and conducted a search of the surrounding area, which resulted in the arrest of a 20-year-old man and two 19-year-old men in connection with the incident. A quantity of suspected controlled drug was also seized.

“The three men remain in police custody as detectives from the Criminal Investigation Department continue their inquiries.

“Witnesses or persons with relevant information are encouraged to contact 247-1744 or the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline 800-8477.”
