Football: First & Premier Division Results

Robin Hood, Dandy Town Hornets, X-Roads, BAA, Paget Lions, Somerset Eagles, Southampton Rangers, and St. David’s all claimed victories in this weekend’s Premier Division and First Division football action.

Premier: Robin Hood 2 Devonshire Cougars 1

Robin Hood put themselves back in contention to battle for their title in the Premier Division with a hard fought 2 – 1 win over the Devonshire Cougars at the BAA Field. Robin Hood got took the lead when Antwan Russell scored in the 31st minute, Moses Steede would equalize for the Devonshire Cougars in the 71st minute, but when it looked as if the two teams would share the points Lejuan Smith scored the Robin Hood winner in the 89th minute.

Premier: Dandy Town Hornets 6 Somerset Trojans 2

The Dandy Town Hornets kept their pursuit of a league title alive with a 6 – 2 win over the Somerset Trojans at the st. John’s Field. The Dandy Town Hornets got 2 goals from Oneiko Lowe and single strikes from Ian Coke, Kwonde Lathan, Kwame Steede and Dennis Russell, while Jaden Rattery-Smith and Jaz Rattery-Smith scored a goal each for the Somerset Trojans.

Premier: Boulevard Blazers 3 X-Roads 7

Kahmori Brangman scored an impressive 5 times to lead X-Roads to a 7 – 3 win over the Boulevard Blazers at Lord’s in St. David’s. X-Roads would also get single strikes from Jahmel Swan and Kashi Davis-Jones, while the Boulevard Blazers got goals from Kamali Davis, Jahzardae Samuels and Teron Butterfield.

First: BAA 5 Devonshire Colts 2

At the BAA Field, BAA remained in second place with a 5 – 2 victory over the Devonshire Colts, Quintonio Lema would score a hat-trick for BAA, they would also get a goal each from Shane Simmons and Mical Hartman, while Kyle Jones and Brandon O’Connor scored a goal each for the Devonshire Colts.

First: St. George’s Colts 0 Paget Lions 3

At the Wellington Oval, the Paget Lions defeated the St. George’s Colts 3 – 0, the Paget Lions got goals from Dion Stovell, Travis Wilkinson and David Hunt to remain the league leaders.

First: Somerset Eagles 3 Hamilton Parish 1

D’Andre Wainwright scored twice for Somerset Eagles as they defeated Hamilton Parish 3 – 1 at White Hill Field, Cardel Henry added the other for the home team, while John Hunt-Tucker scored the lone goal for Hamilton Parish.

First: Southampton Rangers 11 Wolves 1

The Southampton Rangers had a goal feast at the Southampton Oval defeating Wolves 11 – 1. Shannon Burchall led the Southampton Rangers with a hat-trick, while Donte Brangman, Quadir Maynard and Akale Bean all scored two goals each, with Ezekiel Stoneham and JahKai Hill both adding a goal each, while Lamelle Paynter scored the lone goal for Wolves.

First: St. David’s 4 Ireland Rangers 3
