Football: First & Premier Division Results

Somerset Trojans, X-Roads, BAA, St. David’s, St. George’s Colts, and Ireland Rangers all claimed victories in this weekend’s Premier Division and First Division football action.

Premier: North Village Rams 3 Dandy Town Hornets 3

At the Bernard Park, both the North Village Rams and the Dandy Town Hornets stayed in the title hunt following their 3 – 3 draw. The Dandy Town Hornets took the lead in the 25th minute, this after the Dandy Town Hornets goalkeeper Troy Hall made a save blocking a Shayne Hollis shot and from there the ball was worked to Angelo Simmons who found space and had his right footed shot beat Tahj Bell in goal for the North Village Rams.

The North Village Rams would equalize in the 28th minute following a good build up, Keishen Bean was onhand to put the ball away, the Dandy Town Hornets would go back in front in the 34th minute when Ian Coke had his penalty saved by Bell, but he was able to put away the rebound. Bean would draw the North Village Rams level again this time in the 50th minute only to have Oneko Lowe put the Dandy Town Hornets back in front for a third time in the 73rd minute, but in injury time Trey Durham would equalize for the North Village Rams.

Premier: Flanagan’s Onions 2 Somerset Trojans 3

At the BAA Field, the Somerset Trojans edged the Flanagan’s Onions 3 – 2. Leo Burgess gave the Somerset Trojans the lead in the 2nd minute, but Treshun Smith would equalize for the Flanagan’s Onions in the 24th minute. The Flanagan’s Onions would take the lead in the 60th minute when Smith found the back of the net again, but Makai Joell would equalize for the Somerset Trojans in the 83rd minute and then Justin Corday would score the winner for the visitors in the 88th minute.

Premier: Young Men Social Club 1 X-Roads 4

At the Police Field, X-Roads defeated Young Men Social Club 4 – 1 to all but secure their stay in the Premier Division and almost put the nail in the coffin for Young Men Social Club to return to the First Division. Kashi Davis-Jones would lead X-Roads with 2 goals, while Orlyn Williams and Jahmel Swan added a goal each, while Clay Darrell scored the lone goal for Young Men Social Club.

First: Paget Lions 0 BAA 5

In their top of the table clash at the Southampton Oval, visitors BAA defeated the Paget Lions 5 – 0. Shane Simmons would score twice, with Mical Hardtman, Drewonde Bascome and Marcus Brangman all added a goal each.

First: Somerset Eagles 1 Southampton Rangers 1

At the White Hill Field, the Somerset Eagles drew 1 – 1 with the Southampton Rangers, Deandre Wainwright gave the Somerset Eagles the lead in the 65th minute, but Khalil Symonds would equalize for the Southampton Rangers one minute later.

First: Wolves 0 St. David’s 8

At Lord’s in St. David’s, St. David’s defeated Wolves 8 – 0, Diego McCallan would lead St. David’s with a hat-trick, while Jerome Usher scored twice, Isaiah Creighton, Wanli Ming and Stanwon Swan would all add a goal each.

First: St. George’s Colts 3 Hamilton Parish 1

At the Wellington Oval the St. George’s Colts defeated Hamilton Parish 3 – 1, Hamilton Parish took the lead in the 16th minute when Raekwon Hare scored, but the St. George’s Colts would get 2 second half goals from Donovan Thompson and a single strike from Sage Paynter.

First: Devonshire Colts 3 Ireland Rangers 5

Ireland Rangers defeated the Devonshire Colts 5 – 3 at Police Field, Jonathan Bean would score a hat-trick for the Ireland Rangers, with Sekai Proctor and Jahmeko Outerbridge added a goal each. Kyle Jones, Teniko Eve and Michael Williams all added a goal each for the Devonshire Colts.
