Ball Hockey: Winnipeg Jets & Montreal Win

Ten goals were scored in the latest round of the Bermuda Ball Hockey League going on at the PCC Hockey Rink.

Winnipeg Jets 3 Toronto Maple Leafs 2

The Toronto Maple Leafs held a 1 – 0 lead at the end of the first period after Christopher Merritt scored, Jeremy Estey leveled the score at 1 – 1 with the only goal in the second period. In the third period Nate Hause put the Toronto Maple Leafs back in front, but the Winnipeg Jets would get late goals from Matt Benson and Shane Matchett to pull off the win.

Montreal Canadiens 3 Calgary Flames 2

The second match needed a shootout to get a winner as the Montreal Canadiens edged the Calgary Flames 3 – 2.

Chris Coleman gave the Montreal Canadiens a 1 – 0 lead in the first period, but the Calgary Flames were level when Rob Rego scored in the second period. In the third period the teams traded goals with Richard Campbell scoring for the Montreal Canadiens, while the Calgary Flames got a goal from Chris Allington. In the Shootout Coleman scored the winner.
