March 23, 2018

The first annual Talent Identification Showcase is set to be held from April 26th to May 1st.

A spokesperson said, “We are proud to announce our first Annual Talent Identification Showcase [ATIS]. This Talent ID Academy Camp provides our student athletes with an on island affordable opportunity to showcase their potential to a group of highly qualified and experienced coaches. Our student athletes will have realistic opportunities to receive overseas training, trials and academic bursaries.

“The ATIS will feature coaches/scouts from Europe and North America who are staff coaches at academies, academic institutions, scouts or former pro players. Thus far, the incoming coaches have networks/ and/or coach in the Netherlands [Holland], Canada, USA, Portugal, England & Scotland.

“Via the Bermuda Football Association and BBFS partners, each club can register the best 4 players in the U9 to U17 division. The players will be assigned to two groups; advanced and intermediate and will be challenged during the 5-day showcase.

“The ATIS will focus on talent identification, player development, academics, life-skills and international opportunities. This is an affordable/realistic on island opportunity for a large pool of players to improve and share the wealth of training philosophies/opportunities.

“The ATIS will be managed by Bermuda Sports Management Group and facilitated by Bermuda Brazilian Football School. Thank you in advance for your support and we look forward to seeing you at the Invitational Talent Identification Showcase.”

  1. Parent of a Under 9 girl says:

Im just curious as to why no girls where included in this? We have some awsome female players in under 9 and under 11 that weren’t even included. Quite unfair, for the ladie baller trying to better themselves here in BERMUDA! We need to do better to include them all opportunites! Thanks Kappa for including them this year!
