On Saturday [March 17], 2018 TMR Pee Wee “Have-A-Go” Cricket finished with the Pee Wees playing a game against their parents, followed by a prize presentation.

During the course of the program the children received a free introduction to cricket in a fun and safe environment.

Mr. Lloyd Smith, President of the Bermuda Cricket Board, said, “We were pleased to note that once again the Pee Wee program was fully subscribed. The Pee Wee program is the foundation of our participation pathway that introduces the basics of cricket to 5 to 7 year olds.

“In addition to the Pee Wee program, we were pleased to offer the parent-coaching course to introduce parents to some fun drills they can do at home. It was so exciting to see, the parents having fun competing against the children in the annual kids vs parents challenge.”

“I would like to thank TMR, who share our strong focus of bettering the lives of Bermuda’s youth through sports. Due to their continued support we were once again able to offer this program free making it accessible to all. In addition, I am pleased to confirm that TMR are sponsoring five players from the Pee Wee program to attend the BCB Easter Camp, so please register as soon as possible.

“I would also like to thank all the coaches and National Academy players who volunteered their time providing coaching and peer leadership. I look forward to watching these young players move on to play in the TMR 8&Under League, which starts Saturday 14 April at the National Sports Centre.”

Thank you to TMR and the BCB! This was a great event and totally free. My son loved it and will be joining in the BCB’s U8′s league next. It’s lovely that activities like this continue to be made available for all children to join in.
