Football: First & Premier Division Results

BAA, Paget Lions, Southampton Rangers, PHC Zebras, Dandy Town Hornets, and Boulevard Blazers all claimed victories in this weekend’s Premier Division and First Division football action.

First: Somerset Eagles 2 BAA 5

BAA earned a promotion spot to the Premier Division with a 5 – 2 victory over the Somerset Eagles at the White Hill Field.

Laquan Thomas scored twice to lead BAA to victory, with Troy Tucker, Tyrell Burgess and an own goal accounting for the other goals, while Anwar Telford scored twice for the Somerset Eagles.

First: St. David’s 2 Paget Lions 5

The Paget Lions hopes of winning the Division and gaining promotion moved one step closer to becoming a reality with a 5 – 2 win over St. David’s at Lord’s.

The Paget Lions got a hat-trick from Dion Stovell, while Robert Richardson and Tahjae Welch added the other, St. David’s got goals from Diego McCallan and Kontaicf Burton.

First: Southampton Rangers 10 Hamilton Parish 0

The Southampton Rangers kept their unbeaten streak and promotion hopes alive with a 10 – 0 win over Hamilton Parish at the Southampton Oval.

The Southampton Rangers would get a hat-trick from Donte Brangman and Maquel Nisbett-Tankard, while Shannon Burchall scored twice, Dakarrie Steede and Nicholas Mello added a goal each.

Premier: PHC Zebras 6 Devonshire Cougars 1

The PHC Zebras would know a point next week would earn them the Bermuda Football Association’s Premier Division 2017/18 title following their 6 – 1 win over the Devonshire Cougars at the PHC Stadium.

Tre Ming and Jahiem Iris would lead them to victory with two goals each, while Daren Usher and Cecoy Robinson would also find the back of the net, while Lovintz Tota scored the lone goal for the Devonshire Cougars.

Premier: X-Road’s 0 Dandy Town Hornets 3

At the Garrison Field the visiting Dandy Town Hornets defeated X-Road’s 3 – 0.

The Dandy Town Hornets got single strikes from Angelo Simmons, Jahnazae Swan and Nizigh Spence.

Premier: Boulevard Blazers 4 Flanagan’s Onions 1

The Boulevard Blazers defeated the Flanagan’s Onions 4 – 1 at Lord’s in St. David’s. The Flanagan’s Onions were officially relegated on Friday night when the Somerset Trojans grabbed a points off the North Village Rams.

Aldonte Smith scored twice with Kamali Davis and Jahzardae Samuels added a goal each, while Anthony Rocker scored the lone goal for the Flanagan’s Onions.
