Kappa Classic Showcases Youth Football Talent
Some of the island’s most talented young footballers were in action at the 2018 Kappa Classic at the National Sports Center this weekend, with the finals taking place on Sunday.
Under 7 Boys
The North Village Rams Red defeated the Somerset Trojans Red 4 – 1, the North Village Rams Red advanced by defeating the Dandy Town Hornets Brown and the Somerset Trojans Red defeated the BAA Greens.
Under 9 Boys
ABC Blacks are the Under 9 Boys Champions following their Kicks from the Penalty Mark victory over the PHC Zebras Blacks, ABC defeated BAA Green in their Semi-Final, while the PHC Zebras Blacks defeated the Devonshire Colts.
Under 9 Girls
Warwick Academy won the Division with a hard fought 3 – 2 victory over Cedar, Warwick Academy defeated the Palmettos 4 – 3, while Cedar defeated the Cahows 4 – 0.
Under 11 Girls
BPro are the Under 11 Girls Champions following their 5 – 1 victory over Warwick Academy.
Under 11 Boys
Dandy Town Brown defeated ABC Blacks 3 – 2, the Dandy Town Browns advanced to the final with a win over Hamilton Parish, while ABC Blacks edged BAA.
Under 13 Girls
BHS needed kicks from the Penalty Mark to defeat Warwick Academy in the Under 13 Girls Final.
Under 13 Boys
ABC Blacks defeated the Dandy Town Hornets to capture the Under 13 Boy’s title 2 – 1, ABC Blacks advanced to the final with a 2 – 0 win over Warwick Academy Bows, while the Dandy town Hornets defeated the North Village Rams Red 4 – 0.
Under 15 Boys
The St. George’s Colts Dark Blue were crowned the champions following their 1 – 0 win over the Dandy Town Hornets, the St. George’s Colts Dark Blue advanced to the final after they defeated the St. George’s Colts Light Blue team, while the Dandy Town Hornets defeated the Warwick Archers.
Under 17 Boys
The Devonshire Colts defeated the Dandy Town Hornets 2 – 0 on the Main Stadium pitch.
