Softball Bermuda Holds Meeting, Elects Officers

Softball Bermuda held its first ever Annual General Meeting last week. The sports organization came about after the merger of the Commercial Softball League and Summer Softball League.

Dean Williams, former president of the CSL, was unanimously elected as its first president. Other officers include Danny Cook, treasurer; Terrence Corday, vice-president; Paulo Arruda, scheduler; and Don Burgess, public relations officer.

The league is now taking registrations for its upcoming season, which should start in April. The cost to enter a team in the league is $1,000 for co-ed, and $950 for women’s league.

The deadline to register a team is Friday, March 16 by 5pm. Registration forms must be dropped off to Danny Cook at Sea Venture Overseas Shipping at 133 Front Street [fourth floor].
