The Bermuda Cricket Board [BCB] confirmed the senior team taking part in the ICC World Cricket League in Malaysia, WCL 4 Tournament.

The WCL 4 Tournament will run from April 28 to May 6 in a 6-team competition with the top two being promoted to WCL 3. Bermuda will be competing against Malaysia, Denmark, Uganda, Vanuatu and Jersey.

The selected squad is:

  • Terryn Fray [Captain]
  • Dion Stovell [Vice-Captain]
  • Janeiro Tucker
  • Steven Bremar
  • Okera Bascome
  • Charles Trott
  • Stephen Outerbridge
  • Kwasi James
  • Kamau Leverock
  • Jacobi Robinson
  • Macai Simmons
  • Cejay Outerbridge
  • Chare Smith
  • Tre Manders

Stand-by

  • Jordan Smith
  • Zeko Burgess
  • Cameron Jeffers

BCB President, Lloyd Smith said, “I’m proud of the work that the players that have been selected, have continued to put into the training program that the coaching team has provided, since winning the regional T20 Qualifiers last month.

“With the limited resources that the coaching team was able to work with, since we are out of season and there weren’t any available turf wickets, they have done a good job.

“As you know, the squad has many young players, supplemented with some very experienced players which augers well for the future of Bermuda cricket. So I’m encouraging all of Bermuda to support our squad unreservedly and I wish the players and support staff all the best for the tournament.”

The ship has already sailed but it would be great for Bermuda to claw its way back into the higher echelons of Associate cricket. Maybe we’d have a chance at pulling D. Rawlins back before his England career takes full flight.
