Ships Wharf Community Engagement Session

April 3, 2018

The Bermuda Land Development Company Limited [BLDC] is inviting everyone to a community engagement session on Thursday [April 5] to discuss the Ships Wharf Redevelopment project.

Last month, the BLDC invited local and international companies to “submit their qualifications to be considered for future proposals to design, build and operate two major infrastructure projects in the East End – an energy generation facility and a cargo port at Ships Wharf.”

The BLDC said, “The Bermuda Land Development Company Limited [BLDC] is inviting everyone, especially Residents of St. David’s, to a community engagement session to discuss the Ships Wharf Redevelopment project.

“This is your opportunity to learn about and provide input on the redevelopment plans, specifically the Energy Plant and Cargo Port.

  • Date: April 5, 2018 [Thursday]
  • Time: 6:30 p.m.
  • Venue: Clearwater Middle School Gymnasium

“There will be a short presentation by representatives from BLDC, followed by a Q&A session. Your feedback and participation will be valuable in helping the BLDC assess and address the impact of these redevelopment efforts to Bermuda, existing tenants, businesses, residents, etc.

“This community engagement session is the first of many meetings that the BLDC will hold over the course of this enormous undertaking. The planning process will likely take a few years to complete; however, the BLDC wants to ensure everyone has access to the appropriate information.
