Women’s U/17 Team: Akinstall Replaces Masters

The coaching staff of the Women’s U17 National Team has been forced to make a change to the team that departs Bermuda on Saturday, April 14th, with Sh’Nyah Akinstall drafted into the team to replace Jaden Masters who has picked up an injury.

“We wish Jaden a speedy recovery,” the BFA said.” The Lady Gombey Warriors will spend 5 days in Fort Lauderdale in a training camp as the overseas players join the contingent from Bermuda.

“The Lady Gombey Warriors open their World Cup Qualifying campaign at the Nicaragua National Football Stadium against Canada on April 20th. Two days later, Bermuda will play USA. Our girls will close out the group stage with their match against Costa Rica on April 24th.

“The top two teams from each group will move on to the semi-finals. The Concacaf Champion, 2nd and 3rd placed teams will qualify to the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Uruguay later this year.
