Advisory: Road Restrictions For Bermuda Day

The Ministry of Public Works is advising of the following road restrictions that will be in place on Friday, May 25th for the Sinclair Packwood Memorial Cycle Race, the Bermuda Day Half Marathon Derby and the Bermuda Day Parade.

Traffic will be limited in the following areas:

  • Sinclair Packwood Memorial Cycle Race:

Commencing at Somerset Road and travelling along Bridge Hill, Middle Road, Burnt House Hill, Harbour Road, The Lane, Crow Lane, into the City of Hamilton, leaving the City of Hamilton on Cedar Avenue, Marsh Folly Road, to Dutton Avenue.

  • Bermuda Day Half Marathon Derby:

Commencing at Somerset Road and travelling along Bridge Hill, Middle Road, Burnt House Hill, Harbour Road, The Lane, Crow Lane, into the City of Hamilton, leaving the City of Hamilton then onto Cedar Avenue, Marsh Folly Road, Dutton Avenue and finishing at Bernard’s Park.

  • Bermuda Day Parade Route:

Starting on Dutton Avenue and leaving Barnard Park area, the Parade will travel north on Dutton Avenue, west on Marsh Folly Road and South on Cedar Avenue into the City of Hamilton.

  • Blackwatch Pass Road Closure:

This road closure is effective during the period Thursday, May 24th through Friday, May 25th, to prepare for the Bermuda Day Parade events. Motorists can expect that this road way will be used for setup of floats and other items for the Bermuda Day Event.
