Bermuda Day Holiday Trash Collection Advisory

The Ministry of Public Works is advising the public that due to the Bermuda Day holiday on Friday, May 25, garbage normally collected on Friday will be collected on Saturday, May 26.

A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works is advising that due to the Bermuda Day holiday on May 25th, garbage normally collected on Friday will be collected on Saturday May 26th.

“TAG Recycling will be collected, per the 2018 Garbage and Recycling Schedule, on Wednesday in the east and Thursday in the west.

“The once-a-week garbage collection schedule is still in effect, and copies of the detailed map showing which areas are serviced each day can be obtained from gov.bm.

“Recycling is being collected in keeping with the 2018 Garbage and Recycling schedule, which can be found at gov.bm/garbage-and-recycling.

    why not collect it on the thursday so as to avoid paying overtime on saturday??
