Women’s National Football Team Announced

The Bermuda Football Association [BFA] announced the Senior Women’s Team that will represent Bermuda in the 2018 CONCACAF Women’s Championship Caribbean Round Qualification, with the Lady Gombey Warriors set to open their participation on May 23 against hosts Guyana.

A BFA spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Football Association is pleased to announce the Senior Women’s Team that will represent Bermuda in the 2018 CONCACAF Women’s Championship Caribbean Round Qualification. The team have been drawn in Group E hosted by Guyana. The team and staff are:

“The team is a mixture of youth and experience with some of the U17 players earning a place in the team. The Lady Gombey Warriors open their participation on May 23 against hosts Guyana,” the BFA said.

“On May 25th they will take on Barbados. Bermuda will close out the group stage against Suriname on May 27th. All matches will be played at the 3000-seat Synthetic Track and Field Facility in Leonora, Guyana. The group winners will advance to the Caribbean final round that will be played 25 August – 2 September 2018.”
