Middle School Super 8′s: Sandys, Whitney Win

Sandys Secondary Middle School defeated the Whitney Institute Middle School in a thrilling Bermuda School Sports Federation Middle School Boys Super 8’s Cricket Tournament at the National Sports Center.

Whitney batted first and scored 49 runs, Lazai Outerbridge led Whitney with 26 runs with Kahzi Sealey adding 19. Sealey gave Whitney a great start taking three wickets in the first over of Sandy’s innings. Keyni Simmons held his nerve to lead the West Enders to victory with 15 runs, Mason Robinson added 12.

Sandy’s defeated T.N. Tatem in another thrilling battle in their Semi-Final, T.N. Tatem batted first and scored 95 runs in their allotted seven overs. Kezie Richardson and Tristan Davis scored 31 each to lead T.N. Tatem. Openers Eijaz Shakir and Najee Edwards led the chase with 30 runs each.

Whitney defeated Somersfield Academy in the other Semi-Final, Whitney posted 72 in their innings. Outerbridge scored 24 and Micheal DeSilva added 21. Hunter Outerbridge led Somersfield chase with 24 runs but fell short as they finished their innings with 60 runs.
