So basically a wild cat strike, causing more inconvenience to residents and visitors. Way to go BIU. Don’t they have shop stewards any more?

    • PBanks says:

Some time ago they agreed to give proper notice for these kinds of things right?

      Sigh.

      Where’s the Minister of Transport?

    • Hey says:

Yes, teenagers stranded without transport in the middle of their GCSEs amongst others left stranded.

      Shameful.

Should no longer be called the bus service, bust the BUST service.

Unions slice the top off Onions.

And for what …less for all.

We have e-mail, we have phones, we have all kinds of ways that a meeting can be recorded and sent to membership. We no longer need to stop services get out of the last century Alreay. Perhaps the Leader likes to be a showman like Ceaser.

  2. Onion says:

Another shameful attack on poor and working people by the BIU.

They could give weeks of notice instead of hours.

    • Ringmaster says:

The poor and working people aren’t allowed to complain, unless the PLP/BIU/Peoples Campaign let them. As this is a PLP Administration there will be no complaints.

  3. baileysbay says:

it is time for angry chris furbert to go.
bus drivers get paid good it is time to weed out who wants to work and who does not these crazy interruptions must stop and the minister needs to grow some balls

    • Paul says:

I can not fathom the reason why the B.I.U.called a meeting at that time of the day !!!!!!!! the tourist in Dockyard payed a lot of money for their cruise to Bermuda, and were left standed…when is this crap going to stop.

  11. puzzled says:

  12. bananabus says:

Presumably the Government will come out and condemn this action? I mean, it’s causing a problem for a huge proportion of the people who voted for them.

    Muppets

  14. Willy Wonka says:

They bought a new bus? Tell me again how it took five months to get 1 on the road. Huge accomplishment, said no one.

  15. Southampton says:

BIU is a real pain in the ass.
Garbage pick up is disrupted and again Public Transportation is disrupted.

Furbert and Burch have to get their act together.
Both are useless as you know what.

  16. gustav says:

    come on .
the bus drivers work soooooo hard during the year.
even they need , from time to time , a short brake.
and what is better then a BIU meeting ?
I guess they get cookies and coffee for free , despite the pay check

  17. Stevie says:

Who is running the country? Of course the BIU. When OBA in charge who was the opposition? The BIU. PLP…. clueless. Remember they both, the PLP & BIU go silent when one or the other speak out.
Jerry Garcia’s one word comment was right on the ball. “Muppets” both Burts bunch & Furberts fools. By the way Rev Twit still quiet.

  18. Fremi says:

Its sickening to be at the whim of biu. Have your meetings on the weekend. Govt must make buses an essential service

  19. steva says:

So they found a way to get a 4 day weekend!

  20. Spanner breath says:

So they couldn’t leave the remaining 5 buses on the road.
Again the mini buses are chachinging

  21. Stevie says:

Muppets. Both the PLP & BIU.

  22. BermudaRat says:

Did the bus officials not see the huge lines of over 50 people waiting at Horseshoe Bay bus stop for transport to go back to the cruise ships yesterday? One bus came along finally with the destination of Barnes Corner only. It was another 30 minutes for a Dockyard bus to come however it was already FULL. What kind of a welcome is this Bermuda?
