Cricket: BSSF Primary School Super 8′s

Prospect Primary scored with the last ball of the match to win a dramatic final over Harrington Sound Primary School in the Bermuda School Sports Federation Primary School Super 8 Tournament at the National Sports Center.

Prospect held their nerve to score the nine runs needed surpass Harrington Sound’s score of 46. Tajahri Rogers led Prospect with 10 runs in the final. Harrington Sound posted their lowest score of the day when they were sent in to bat. Isaiah O’Brien led the way with 20 runs not out while Skylar Young added 12.

Prospect Primary needed 46 to defeat Elliot Primary in their Semi-Final. Gian Christopher led Elliot with 14 runs on the way to posting 45. Prospect got 10 runs from both Saqui Robinson and Jai Simmons.

Harrington Sound beat out West Pembroke to win the other Semi-Final. O’Brien led all scorers with 22 as his team scored 54 runs, Zaedyn Philpott added 15. West Pembroke managed 34 runs in reply, with Jahni Douglas scoring 14 runs for West Pembroke.

The same schools faced each other in the Girls final but this time Harrington Sound was the victor. Prospect batted first and scored 54 runs behind Malaya Whitter and Sydney Santos who scored 11 runs each. Harrington Sound responded convincingly and reached their target with ease. Jashay Trott scored 17 while Aniyah Minors added 15.

Prospect defeated St. David’s Primary in their Semi-Final with Raven Peterson Clark taking three wickets in the final over to secure the win. Harrington Sound again defeated West Pembroke in the other Semi-Final. West Pembroke batted first and scored 50 with Saonay Trott scoring 7. Harrington Sound crossed the target with three overs to spare.
