Community 24 Hour Prayer Room On May 5

Restoration House Ministries International, in partnership with the Anglican Church of Bermuda, are getting set to hold their second annual Community 24 Hour Prayer Room on Saturdaym May 5 from 12.01am to 11.59pm at The Cathedral Hall at 29 Church Street in Hamilton.

A spokesperson said, “Last year’s event was a blessing that saw people from all walks of life come by throughout the day to pray individually and collectively. This year we will have included a child centered prayer area and we are also pleased that four of our local schools have submitted prayer requests on behalf of our children thus far.

“We are also excited that a network church, New International Deliverance Center, Basseterre, St. Kitts joining the initiative and hosting a Community Prayer Room during the same time.

“The word of God tells us ‘If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land.” [2 Chronicles 7:14 ESV].

“In these times of social and economic turmoil, with various people and entities constantly opposing each other, we as members of the inter-faith community must demonstrate unity. We must pray together for the future of our county, our leaders and our children.

“We welcome you to join us as we pray for the needs of this Island and its people. Our goal is to have fervent prayers of hope and peace taking place non-stop for the entire 24 hours. There is strength in numbers, power in prayer and hope in unity. Join us as we lift our country up to God.
