Court: Men Denies Damage & Cannabis Charges

Appearing in Magistrates Court, one man denied damaging property, while another man denied possessing cannabis in separate cases.

A 51-year-old Pembroke man has denied damaging a Cobbs Hill property, with Clarence Simmons is alleged to have entered the premises on September 26, last year and unlawfully damaged the building.

Mr Simmons pleaded not guilty to the single charge. He was released in bail until July 3 when he will return to court for a trial date to be fixed.

While in a separate matter, a 53-year-old man will stand trial later this summer accused of possessing cannabis. Scott Martin pleaded not guilty to possessing cannabis on August 7, last year, when he appeared in court.

He also denied a second charge of possessing a silver socket in connection with the misuse of a controlled drug. Mr Martin, of no fixed abode, was released on bail and will return to court again on June 27 when a trial date will be set.
