Sick Passenger, Cruise Ship Arrives Early

On Sunday [June 3] the cruise ship Grandeur of the Seas arrived in Bermuda two hours ahead of schedule due to a 53-year-old passenger suffering from a non-life-threatening disorder that required hospital treatment.

A Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre spokesperson said, “On Sunday, June 3 at 7.00pm, the cruise ship Grandeur of the Seas departed Baltimore for Bermuda and soon reported that a 53-year-old passenger was suffering from a non-life-threatening disorder but in need of hospital treatment.

“The ship accelerated to arrive into Bermuda two hours earlier than scheduled and the patient was transferred to an awaiting ambulance once alongside at Heritage Wharf, Dockyard.”
