A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works is reminding that starting on June 19th there will be a one-lane road closure along Harbour Road, Paget to accommodate construction works being conducted by Trent Construction Consulting.

“It is expected that the one lane closure will be in effect through July 10th.

“As a reminder, construction works will get underway at 7.00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19th and will continue into the evening.

Detours are as follows:

  • Traffic travelling along Harbour Road in a westerly direction from Hamilton will be detoured towards Lovers Lane.
  • Traffic traveling from the west end of the island towards Hamilton along Harbour Road will be detoured towards Chapel Road.

  3. Jus' Sayin' says:

Hopefully the lane that remains open will be one way into Hamilton in the morning and one way out of town in the evening to accommodate rush hour. Otherwise the west is in for a NIGHTMARE!!

  4. BdaTravel says:

Wouldn’t it make sense to have the road closure start at 9am after morning rush hour traffic? or how about start the following week when schools are out and traffic lightens up??

    • BermudaRat says:

That would be too smart to have been figured out by Ministry of Public Works!

    • PBanks says:

Indeed, one week later would have been huge. Likely for residential purposes, there hasn’t been a burst pipe (knock wood) for a few months now.
