Next year’s Bermuda Captive Conference will be held June 10–12, 2019, organisers have announced.

The 15th annual event returns to the Fairmont Southampton next spring with a three-day agenda packed with keynote speakers, social and networking events, and a full slate of panels and roundtables focused on industry hot topics such as insurtech and cyber risk.

With a trade floor showcasing industry support services and related organisations, the conference attracts captive insurance managers, brokers and service-providers, corporate risk managers, and owners of captive insurance companies.

A well-attended closing party for the 2018 conference was held at the National Museum of Bermuda

“Our 2018 event was a big success, and we hope to repeat or surpass that next year,” said Conference Chair Mike Parrish. “We have received very positive comments, and we continue to welcome delegates’ opinions and industry feedback to help us create a similarly relevant and engaging event in 2019.”

This year’s conference was hailed an impressive showcase of diversity and innovation by delegates, sponsors and organisers.

Held June 11–13, it attracted more captive owners and risk managers than ever before in the event’s history. More than 800 attendees registered from the United States, Canada, Latin America, and the United Kingdom, as well as Bermuda, driving total hotel room nights close to 1,000.

Every year, conference delegates also enjoy social activities such as boat tours, a golf tournament, and a fitness walk along the Railway Trail and South Shore beaches. Many overseas attendees bring spouses and families, tacking on extra time in Bermuda to explore the island.

Registration for the 2019 Bermuda Captive Conference will open this fall.
