Jones Scores A Hat-Trick In Eastwood Win
Bermuda’s David Jones scored a hat-trick to lead Eastwood Community Football Club to a 5 – 1 win over Heanor Town in England.
James Sleigh gave Heanor Town the lead in the 5th minute when he latched on to a long ball to fire a goal to make it 1-0.
The equalizer would come in the 55th minute when Jones scored from close range, and Jones then gave Eastwood the lead in the 74th minute when he scored his second goal of the game.
Jones would complete his hat-trick in the 84th minute making the score 3 – 1 when he fired a shot into the bottom corner. Kaylum Mitchell’s curling shot found the corner of the net in the 89th minute to give Eastwood a 4 – 1 lead, and Mitchell then got his second and Eastwood’s fifth in stoppage time for the 5 – 1 win.
