Video: Fire Service Extinguish Paget Blaze

[Updated] The Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service [BFRS] responded to what appears to be a brush fire in Paget tonight [Aug 13] with at least two fire service vehicles seen at the location.

Fire service personnel brought the fire under control and continue to wet down the area involved. Further details are limited at this time, however we will update as able.

Update 11.18pm: Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service Staff Officer Sergeant Allan Wilkinson said, “We received a call to Fire Dispatch at 8.23pm reporting a large brush fire in Paget off of Honey Hill.

“Upon arrival firefighters discovered an area of brush approximately 40′x20′ deep seated on fire. Firefighters used 4000gals of water to extinguish the blaze. Nine personnel responded with three appliances. Inquiries into the cause are ongoing. Firefighters remain at the scene at this time.”
