Court: Construction Firm Denies Charges

A company was today charged in Magistrates Court in connection with alleged health insurance offences.

Ricky Sousa and RMS Construction Ltd pled not guilty to the charges.

The company was charged with failing to effect and continue in force a contract of health insurance with a licensed insurer.

They were also charged with failing to promptly give a written statement to an affected employee that they failed or neglected to effect or continue in force a contract of health insurance.

The charges also relate to allegedly falsely asserting that deductions to the total value of $1100 had been made for health insurance contributions.
